Job Description
Our practice is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our dental family. We are a thriving, highly successful and growing family dental practice that serves our community in Las Vegas. We provide over the top excellent customer service and always strive to make each and every patient feel like they are family. Our ideal future team member should be highly motivated, have an upbeat and positive attitude while exuding confidence chairside and committed to providing quality patient care. In our private dental office, patients are treated with state of the art technology while receiving comprehensive quality dental care. Applicants should be experienced with Dentrix, Dexis, taking intraoral photos, taking a Pano/CBCT, using a Nomad, and scanning patients with an Itero intraoral scanner. Team members receive medical and vision insurance, dental treatment within the practice, dental treatment for immediate family members, paid holidays, paid time off, 401k, and a monthly bonus structure. Dental Assistants are responsible for assisting the dentist in clinical treatment including fillings, crown and bridge, oral surgery and implants, endodontics, and orthodontic treatment (Invisalign.) Specific qualifications for any applicant applying for the position must meet the following requirements; 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A DENTAL ASSISTANT MINIMUM IS AN ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT (NOT INCLUDING AN EXTERNSHIP) Knowledge of dental terminology. Knowledge and compliance of Infection Control and OSHA guidelines. Computer skills; Excel, Windows 7, Dentrix Commitment to CE for career development, and monthly staff training. Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments. Good communication skills and ability to maintain effective rapport with the patient, dentist, and other staff members. Make exceptional temporaries in a timely manner. Take quality dental xrays. Comfortable taking and recording treatment information in the patient's chart. Providing post op instructions prescribed by the dentist. Take exceptional impressions, pour, trim, and polish study cast. Comfortable explaining the need for treatment with a patient. Commitment to providing quality patient care and customer service. Ability to work in a team like setting while working cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve goals by sharing ideas, knowledge, support, resources, responsibly, and recognition. Commitment to the future growth of the office. Punctual, presentable, and reliable while having a quality track record with previous employers. Able to provide references.
