We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team to cover for the months of late August to November. This opportunity will be available as our current hygienist will be going on maternity leave, and we are eager to find someone who shares our commitment to exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Dental Hygienist, you will perform the following essential duties:

- Conduct thorough oral examinations and cleanings for patients
- Provide education and guidance to patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Utilize your expertise to perform Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) and other treatment modalities, ensuring high-quality care with each patient visit.
- Collaborate with the single doctor in our office and support our streamlined treatment recommendations that prioritize patient health.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) certification.
- Laser certification 
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to manage one patient at a time, with typical appointment durations of 60-90 minutes, allowing for a personalized and thorough care experience.

Who We Are

A solo general practice with one other hygienist on staff. We run on a 45 minute schedule per patient. 

Who We're Looking For

• 2 years of experience preferred 

Responsibilities

• Performs intra-oral examinations for indications of needed dental work, administers dental prophylaxes and flouride treatments, and provides instruction in proper oral hygiene 
• Performs complete dental prophylaxes including ultrasonic, hand, and gross scaling, and polishing of teeth
• Instructs and demonstrates for patients and parents such things as proper oral hygiene including brushing technique, flossing, plaque control
• Taking dental radiographs/full moth periodontal probing
