In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services for patients of all ages, with a focus on prevention, education, and overall oral health. You will see one patient at a time, allowing you to provide attentive, individualized care without feeling rushed. Appointment times are structured to support quality treatment, with typically 60 minutes scheduled for prophy and maintenance visits and 90 minutes for new patients and SRPs. A 60-minute lunch break is included in the workday.

Responsibilities include performing dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing as appropriate, taking and evaluating radiographs, charting oral conditions, applying preventive treatments, and educating patients on oral hygiene and home care. You will also collaborate closely with the doctor and front office team to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent communication. Strong attention to detail, excellent chairside manner, and a commitment to patient comfort are highly valued.

This position is open to all levels of experience, including recent graduates and experienced hygienists. Candidates should have a college-level education in dental hygiene and be licensed or eligible for licensure as required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, and motivated to grow within a supportive general practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient has an exceptional experience.
• Scrub charts for the next work day, schedule next cleaning appointment.
• Verify medical history and other intake forms are completed prior to seating patient.
• Complete prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, or SRP procedures as scheduled (1 hour blocks).
• Take radiographs and complete periodontal probing as scheduled.
• Give patients feedback on their oral health, as well as customized OHI for their needs.
• Complete clinical notes.
• Clean and sterilize instruments.
• Turn over room for next patient.
• Be present for quarterly team meetings.
• Participate as a member of a team.
• Other tasks as assigned.
