Job Description
Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients. You will work closely with our dentists and dental assistants to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Duties:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing- Take and develop dental x-rays- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants- Assist dentists during procedures as needed- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Experience:- Anatomy knowledge related to oral health- Proficiency in dental office procedures and protocols- Ability to perform patient assessments, including vital signs- Experience with dental software systems such as CAD, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix- Familiarity with pediatric dental care is a plus- Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred
