Job Description
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and promote oral health in a professional and compassionate manner. Small, family owned dental practice. We need two (2) days of Hygiene. The schedule is flexible between Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Seeing one adult patient per hour , or 2 children in an hour. We are open 8-5 with an hour lunch break from 1-2. Looking to start mid May to beginning of June.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform dental hygiene procedures including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care
- Take digital X-Rays (Nomad X-Ray unit)
- Administer local anesthetic and apply cavity-preventive agents such as fluorides and sealants
- Document patient care and treatment plans in electronic health records
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments
**Qualifications:**
- Certified Dental Hygienist with a valid license in California
- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CAD/CAM systems, and dental assisting procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Ability to take vital signs, conduct patient assessments, and assist in dental office procedures
