Job Description
Our practice is looking to add to our already thriving hygiene department. At our office, we provide over the top excellent customer care and always strive to make each and every patient feel like they are family. Located in Summerlin, our established private practice is extremely proud of our success and exceptional reputation within the community. In our dental office, patients are treated with state of the art technology while receiving comprehensive quality dental care. Applicants should be experienced with Dentrix, Dexis, taking intraoral photos, taking a Pano, and using a periodontal laser. This position is 7:45am-5:00pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:45am-6:00pm on Tuesdays. **As our practice is growing, applicants must be willing to work a dual column, assisted hygiene schedule. ** High earning potential ** Team members receive medical and vision insurance, dental treatment within the practice, dental treatment for immediate family members, short and long-term disability, life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, 401k, profit sharing, and a monthly bonus structure. Responsibilities Provide superior patient care and service Stay on schedule as much as possible to create no patient wait time; help manage patient flow; maintain time flexibility for the patient; be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times. Educate patient on oral hygiene, health, disease as well as other procedures and services; establish/communicate continued care. Applying preventive materials to the teeth such as fluorides and sealants Verify patient health history and document appropriately in the patients chart. Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Perform the following duties as applicable by practice and/or state laws: Screen for Oral Cancer Knowledge and compliance of Infection Control and OSHA guidelines Take and record patients' blood pressure accurately Take alginate impressions and fabricate whitening trays Maintain accurate and legible notes in the patients chart Take quality dental xrays Assist with other office duties as requested or needed Good communication skills and able to maintain effective rapport with the patient, dentist, and other staff members. Dentrix experience is preferred. Additional computer skills like Excel, Windows7 also preferred. Commitment to CE for career development, and monthly staff training Ability to work in a team like setting while working cooperatively and collaboratively with others to achieve goals by sharing ideas, knowledge, support, resources, responsibly, and recognition Punctual, presentable, and reliable while having a quality track record with previous employers. Able to provide references. Commitment to the future growth of the office. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist License Minimum Seeking 2+ years' experience CPR Certification Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law Valid Laser Certification Job Type: Full-time Salary: $based on experience Job Type: Full-time
