Job Description

SUMMARY

We are looking for a pasionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable registered dental hygienist to join our practice.  The responsibilities of this position include assessment of patient's dental status and history; conducting dental cleanings, taking radiographic images; periodontal charting; assisting the Doctor with the exam; documenting patient's concerns, current oral health treatment and future treatment needs; scheduling appointments.

To be successful in this position you must demonstrate attention to detail, time management, have exceptional communication skills and the ability to remain composed in our fast-paced office.  This position will provide exceptional hygiene care for the patient and serve to deepen connections being developed, with the Doctor and other team members, through passion, integrity and trust.

Registered Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, Doctors and office personnel to convey patient concerns and desires, treatment needed, services provided and scheduling requirements encompassing a full circle of care.
• Take radiographic images.
• Schedule recare appointments.
• Perform preliminary oral exam too include:  signs of gum disease, infections, cavities, oral cancer screening and sleep related breathing disorders.
• Keep detailed documentation of each patient's visit to include:  patient concerns, medical history, sleep history, periodontal charting, treatment planning, diagnostic images, specialty referral information.

Registered Dental Hygienist Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in registered dental hygiene program
• A minimum of 2 year's experience in dental hygiene
• Dental hygienist licensure held in the state of Arizona
• Radiographic imaging certification
• Profiicient in dental practice management softward (Eaglesoft) a plus
• Demonstrates knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and all dentistry safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, when applicable, to complete hygiene exam and procedures.
• Current CPR certification a plus.

Work Hours:   Monday through Thursday, 7:40 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
