Overview: Norwalk Village Dental Center is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Front Office/Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering a positive experience to all patients visiting our dental center.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment reminders.
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims accurately.
- Collect and record patient information, including personal details and medical history.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Manage patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely service.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional manner.
- Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the dental center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a dental or medical setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and dental practice management software (experience with Dentrix is preferred).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is advantageous but not required.
