Job Title: Front Office/Receptionist

Overview: Norwalk Village Dental Center is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Front Office/Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering a positive experience to all patients visiting our dental center.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude.
  2. Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment reminders.
  3. Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims accurately.
  4. Collect and record patient information, including personal details and medical history.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  6. Manage patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
  8. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely service.
  9. Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional manner.
  10. Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the dental center.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration or healthcare administration is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a dental or medical setting.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and dental practice management software (experience with Dentrix is preferred).
  6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Friendly and professional demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
  8. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is advantageous but not required.
