Our practice is seeking a special hygienist to provide outstanding care for our patients. Two days per week either Monday/Tuesday or Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Thursday. We are an established family dental practice in Glendale AZ. We utilize digital x-rays, intraoral cameras and we are a Cerec office. We follow current CDC, ADA, and OSHA COVID- 19 guidelines.
Who We're Looking For
Knowledge of Dentrix preferred. You must be an excellent educator with willingness to use the intraoral camera as a tool to co-diagnosis with the doctor.

Responsibilities

Patient Care
Review health history
Take x-rays per office policy
Ask patient about new dental problems and discuss previous treatment plans
Co-diagnose with the doctor
Perform intraoral and extraoral cancer screening
Use intraoral camera to highlight dental and periodontal issues
Measure and record pocket depths
Perform prophylaxis on adults and children
Perform scaling and root planing
Perform sealants
Apply fluoride varnish on adults and children
Wipe down treatment room and process instruments per sterilization protocol
Patient Education
Educate patients concerning periodontal disease
Make patients aware of the connection between oral health and overall health
Create value in your treatment so the patient understands the importance of hygiene visits
Oral hygiene instruction and recommend oral hygiene products
Computer/Patient Visit Form
Enter/update medical history in the computer
Enter new conditions and treatment plans in the computer
Record clinical notes for the visit
Fill out Patient Visit form
Other Duties
Prepare for and attend morning meetings per office policy
Be aware of daily production goals
Attend monthly meeting and make suggestions to improve the practice
Make entries in clinical notes when letters are received from periodontists
Practice within OSHA and HIPPA guidelines
Work with other back office team members to shut down at the end of day
