Duties- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking dental x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as necessary- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Texas- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including taking dental x-rays and using CAD software- Familiarity with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Epic for patient record management- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy- Ability to use aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection- Experience with medical imaging equipment is a plus
