Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant with experience to join our dynamic dental practice. Idaho Street Dental is a 1 doctor small dental practice located in the heart of downtown Boise. We prioritize our patient care and truly love what we do. Our hours are M, W 8-5 and T, Th 7-2.
We are looking for a dental assistant that will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office with a caring, and outgoing personality. This position requires a proactive individual who is knowledgeable in various dental procedures and possesses excellent interpersonal skills to assist both patients and dental professionals effectively.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including restorative and pediatric procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment while adhering to infection control protocols.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and ensure proper documentation of images.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Assist in product ordering and restocking.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist.
Operate 3D scanners prime scan for advanced imaging as required for specific treatments.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
