Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Jay H. Samuels, DDS. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral-systemic health practices, and assisting in the overall management of patient care. This position is vital to our mission of promoting optimal dental health.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients.
Educate patients about proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Assist in the administration of local anesthesia as needed.
Utilize dental software such as Open Dental for record-keeping.
Conduct preliminary examinations including vital signs and medical history reviews.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and hygiene practices.
Experience with dental software (Open Dental) preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Office Hours

Monday 8am-5pm
Tuesday 8am-5pm
Wednesday 8am-5pm
Thursday 8am-12pm OR every other Thursday 8am-5pm
