Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, and ensure accurate documentation of results.
Maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using dental systems.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a positive experience.
Assist in specialized procedures such as Endodontics and Prosthodontics as needed.
Monitor vital signs when necessary to ensure patient safety during treatments.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and relevant procedures.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding medical imaging techniques.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining infection control standards.
