Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in dental assisting and familiarity with pediatric care will be crucial in delivering high-quality dental services.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take medical imaging as required, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and staff.
Support various dental specialties including Endodontics and Prosthodontics as needed.
Maintain patient records accurately using Epic or similar systems.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and infection control standards.
Requirements
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care.
Exceptional communication skills, especially when interacting with children and their families.
A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

Schedule:
8 hour shift
Weekends as needed
