o Core Responsibilities:

Turning operatories and sterilizing instruments-
Clean used dental chairs/units after patient usage
Pack and sterilize instruments, following specific procedures
Set up clean operatories as needed for next patient usage and procedures
Appropriate stocking of operatories

o Procedure Explanations:

Ensure patient/parents understand visit before being seated.
Seat the patient
Make appropriate chart note
Release patient to parents with detailed instructions about visit

o Patient Care related:

Deliver an exceptional patient experience
Able to take alginate impressions (willing to train)
Fill in lab prescriptions, as needed (willing to train)

o Phone calls:

Assist the administrative staff as needed with phone call answering and everyday duties
Know how to take a new patient call

o Communication:

Assist in daily communication between the front and back staff
Able to talk to doctor and staff in code when patients are present
