Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready.
Perform X-rays and other medical imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation within the electronic health record system (Dentrix).
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes as needed.
Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and medical coding is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, for documentation purposes.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and ability to perform X-rays safely.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient care.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
