Dental Assistant - Pediatric Dentistrty of Northwest Indiana - Indianapolis, IN

Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our privately owned Pediatric Dental office. Applicant must have patience and be able to work well with all kinds of children. Our patients range in age from 1 to 20 years old. Our office sees patients Monday through Thursday with no evening or weekend hours.
Responsibilities

Assist dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Manage infection control protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using appropriate medical terminology.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when necessary.
Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing and inventory management of dental supplies.

Experience/Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office is required.
Must have x-ray certification; EFDA certification and coronal polishing certificate preferred but not necessary.
Strong understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
