Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits, and promoting specialized dental maintenance care. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This is a part-time position for those looking to focus solely on dental hygiene with the opportunity to increase to full-time as the hygiene column grows. This is the perfect position for someone either looking to grow with the practice or wind-down their practice. We are flexible based on your goals!
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments, including the evaluation of patients' oral health.
Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review for each patient visit.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality care.
Patient outreach to support scheduling goals.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures.
Strong skills in documentation review and maintaining medical records.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
