OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy on patients.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately.
Assist with various dental procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting for billing or insurance purposes.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in accordance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Knowledge of dental anatomy and hygiene practices is essential.
Experience with patient assessment and care techniques.
Familiarity with dental coding related to dental procedures is preferred.
Proficiency in using dental software, particularly open dental, is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited program is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.94 - $37.25 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
