Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, utilizing appropriate aseptic techniques.
Assess patient oral health and record findings in medical records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
Assist dentists during procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and appointments efficiently.
Perform medical imaging as required to support diagnostic processes.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in pediatric dentistry.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in Open Dental software is preferred but not necessary.
Strong understanding of aseptic technique, infection control, and dental terminology.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing compassionate service.
Ability to assist in various dental procedures effectively.
Knowledge of dental terminology and experience with medical records management is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
