Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. This role involves performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care for patients, including pediatric patients.
Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Provide support in other areas of the dental office as needed, including dental assisting tasks.

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology and infection control protocols.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental office management systems is preferred.
Knowledge of medical records management and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
