Job Summary
Greenwood Local Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practice by assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and providing excellent patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient interaction, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized environment. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:30-4:00.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage patient records, including medical histories

Qualifications

Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential.
Experience in general dentistry practices is preferred
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
Ability to take X-rays safely and accurately
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient care and comfort.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
