OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in providing comprehensive dental care.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Assist the dentist with various treatments, including four-handed dentistry.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix Ascend software.
Review medical history and documentation to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric and general dentistry patients.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and protocols.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist License in accordance with IL State regulations.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology.
Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend or similar Dental Practice management software prefererd.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Commitment to continuous professional development in the field of dentistry.
