Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
Record and update patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with patient check-in/check-out processes as needed.
Maintain organized medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to children during their visits.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection in the clinical environment.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous.
Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical records management.
Experience with endodontics or other specialized dental procedures is beneficial.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
