About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to play a vital role in our practice. As an EFDA, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expanded skills and work closely with our dentist to deliver high-quality restorative procedures. Responsibilities:

Perform all duties of a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
Under the direct supervision of a dentist, perform expanded functions as legally defined by the State of Ohio.
Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available and sterile.
Assist the dentist chairside during various dental procedures, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments and observations.
Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and practice standards.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
Assist with front office duties as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing payments (if applicable).
Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control policies.
Participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills.

Qualifications:

Valid Ohio Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) license is required.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.
Excellent chairside manner and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in dental software, preferably Dentrix Ascend.
