Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and ensure a smooth operation of the dental office.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Skills

Proficient in medical imaging techniques and equipment.
Knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing processes.
Strong assisting skills with an emphasis on four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices within a dental setting.
Solid understanding of human anatomy related to dental health.
Experience with managing medical records accurately and efficiently.
