Registered Dental Hygienist - 1st Advantage Dental Group - East Lyme, CT

Job OverviewAdvantage Dental Group is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our patient-focused practice. Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and applying preventive treatments
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting clinical findings
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and the value of regular dental visits
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring instruments are sterilized and infection control protocols are followed
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
Assist during procedures, including preventive and pediatric care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA and practice standards
Uphold high standards of infection control and patient safety throughout all interactions

Qualifications & Skills

Valid dental hygiene license in Connecticut
Dental anesthesia is a plus but not required
Proficiency with dental charting, X-rays, and other diagnostic tools
Familiarity with pediatric dental care is a plus
Exceptional communication skills to educate and reassure patients of all ages
Team player with a professional demeanor and a patient-first mindset
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills
