Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This role requires strong clerical skills, proficiency in dental software, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review.
Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping.
Handle phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide information about services.
Adequately clean/sterilize rooms/instruments consistent with standard infection control practices
Assist with medical collections as needed, ensuring compliance with office policies.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.

Requirements

Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental or medical setting is preferred.
Proficiency in using or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in clerical tasks.
Ability to handle medical scheduling efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical collections is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
