The core focus of the Surgical Assistant is on patient care and often reflects preparing patients while working alongside the dentist ensuring positive outcomes. The surgical assistant is responsible for duties including but not limited to taking radiographs, recording patient medical records, taking vital signs, prepare surgical rooms, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, patient education regarding post-surgery or post treatment care, managing patient flow, and ensuring the comfort of patients both before, during and after dental treatment.

+ Supporting the doctor to ensure that their time is leveraged in the right way and that appointments stay on schedule
+ Preparing the operatory appropriately for each procedure, adhering to the latest safety protocols and requirements
+ Collaborating with other team members to create a comprehensively satisfying clinical experience for the patient
+ Reinforcing the referring doctorâs diagnosis and creating value for comprehensive care during discussions with the patient
+ Working with the Treatment Coordinator, Operations, and the Front Desk team to communicate the patientâs needs and creating alignment with the referring practice
+ Researching and employing the latest trends and technology in dentistry including health and safety protocols and best practices
+ Encouraging patient testimonials and invitations with value
+ Showing appreciation and celebrating milestones
+ Taking individual accountability for the role and responsibilities
The surgical assistant should demonstrate professionalism and committed to ethical conduct. It is also important that working as part of TEAM while possessing superb communication skills, handle multiple responsibilities on any given day and accomplish tasks effectively and without error.
X-ray certification is required, experience in Curve is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 â 45 per week
