Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication with the dental team.
Support various specialties including Pediatrics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Pediatric dentistry as needed.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Certification in CPR and knowledge of infection control practices is essential.
Familiarity with medical coding, medical documentation, and medical imaging techniques is advantageous.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures related to various specialties such as Pediatrics and Prosthodontics.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy clinical setting.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.
