Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Prosper, TX
Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Orthodontic Assistant to join our boutique-style startup orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the orthodontist to provide exceptional care to our patients, ensuring the practice runs smoothly and efficiently. Our office is equipped with the latest technology, including a CBCT x-ray machine, 3D scanner, indirect bonding system, and a 3D printer. We are also an impression-free practice. We are seeking someone with a fun and friendly personality, who enjoys working in a patient-centered environment. 5 years of orthodontic assisting is required. Days/Hours : 4 Days per week - 8:30-5:30pm Key Responsibilities Communicate effectively with patients and team members Prepare treatment areas and sterilize instruments according to safety protocols Complete weekly spore testing Complete proper maintenance of all office equipment Track all lab slips are completed and appliances are received in a timely manner Take intra-oral x-rays, photos, and 3D scans Educate patients on proper dental hygiene and elastic cooperation Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Perform orthodontic procedures under the supervision of the orthodontist Manage inventory and order supplies as needed Occasionally assist with front office responsibilities - Answering phones, Greeting patients, Scheduling new patients. etc. Qualifications Experience assisting with orthodontic procedures required Punctuality and reliability are a must Strong knowledge of orthodontic terminology, appointment documentation, and scheduling Experience with 3D printing, Aligners, and Indirect Bonding Ability to handle receptionist duties when needed Must be able to work efficiently - speed and accuracy are essential Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 per week Benefits: Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Paid training Application Question(s): Do the hours 8:30-5:30pm work for your schedule?
