Our outstanding dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Receptionist / Front Desk for an opportunity to join our dedicated team.
Duties for our Dental Front Office Assistant / Dental Receptionist include:
- Greetings all patients with as they arrive welcoming smile and answering the phones in a timely and friendly manner
- Checking in and checking out patients
- Scheduling and cancelling patient appointments
- Translating dental services into proper billable codes
- Re-care calls when needed
- Office duties including document filing, scanning, and creation
- Completing and filing insurance forms and dental billing records
- Organization, time management and multitasking abilities
- An understanding of dental office procedures and workflow
- Computer literacy in basic applications like email and Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word
- Creating payment plans in consultation with dental staff and patients
- Processing payments upon the rendering of dental services
- Preparing and submitting claims for payment by dental insurance
- Ascertaining why claims have been rejected and implementing corrective measures
- Updating patients' personal and health insurance details, as needed
Dental Biller Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a dental biller, preferably in a dental practice
- Familiarity with ADA codes will be advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Top-notch interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellent customer service
- Capacity to work with sensitive patient information while maintaining confidentiality
Dental Receptionist Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification in office administration, or related fields is advantageous
- Proven experience working in a dental office
- Sound knowledge of dental terminology
- Proficient in dental practice management software (Dentrix)
- Working knowledge of general administrative practices
- Good telephone etiquette
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
