Dental Assistant Job Description
We have an opening in our office for a long-term Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant must have minimum of 6 months+ experience with X-Ray license. We are located in beautiful San Clemente California. Dr. Johnson has been taking great care of our patients for over 15 years at this location. We strive on being the best and providing a positive welcoming environment for our patients and our staff. Come Join our team!
We are looking for an experienced, confident, outgoing, positive team player that possess excellent organization skills, clinical skills, leadership skills, and makes sure all our patients get the best possible care. We are a small but busy office with two hygienist’s and three working chairs for general dentistry.
PAY: $26-$28 depending on Skill, experience and education
HOURS: Mondays 7:30AM-5PM-530PM

Job Requirements
RDA license “preferred” but not needed
DA License required
X-ray certified required
Current CPR Certification
Knowledgeable on Dentrix software “preferred”
Responsibilities
- Welcome all patients in the dental office.
- Review Patient charts and medical
- Entering in treatment plans with the doctor
- Perform all DA or RDA required function.
- Excellent chair-side manner and confidence
- Follow OSHA requirements.
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfortable.
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed for procedures.
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist Hygienists with charting
- Take Xray’s for patients.
- Must be a team player and dedicated to the success of the practice
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Take impressions and take digital impressions
- Check in Lab cases according to patient appointments
- Check patient clear aligner cases online.
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Sterilize and set up rooms.
- Assisting with fillings, crowns, implants, etc.
- Communicate patient needs with the front office.
