Registered Dental Hygienist - Freeman Dental - Mayfield, KY

Join our team! Freeman Dental, in Mayfield, KY is hiring for a Registered Dental Hygienist. This position is for Monday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday 7 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We are looking for applicants that are well organized and reliable. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, computer skills and have attention to detail. Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist is preferred. Days worked per week are negotiable.
The primary responsibilities are as follows:
Assist the Doctor in performing initial exams, recall exams, and patient screenings
Ability to take digital x-rays that include panoramic, bitewing and full mouth series
Perform adult, child prophylaxis, scaling and root planning and periodontal procedures
Deliver nitrous oxide and local anesthesia
Advise patients on oral health and preventive care
Discuss treatment plan options
Maintain accurate patient records
Schedule recall appointments
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Follow all OSHA guidelines on disinfecting protocols
Skills

Registered Dental Hygienist Licensure
Training in Dentrix and Dexis preferred
CPR certification
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Great time management and computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
