Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Conduct dental screenings and assessments to identify oral health issues
- Take and develop dental x-rays and other medical imaging as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Maintain accurate patient records and update dental office systems (e.g., Dentrix)
- Provide support in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Qualifications:
- Valid dental hygiene license in Wisconsin
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Proficiency in using Dentrix is prefferred
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Experience in assisting with dental procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide oral health education
