Registered Dental Hygienist - Perio Health Professionals - Houston, TX

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our Perio dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care and education to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease and other dental conditions.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including assisting with procedures as needed.
Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
Experience with working in a Periodontal dentistry setting for at least 2 years.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management systems is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and providing quality care.
Will be able to work 4 days a week.
