Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture accurate diagnostic images.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatment plans using Open Dental software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development and implementation of infection control protocols, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with dentists during procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient workflow.
Provide support in managing patient anxiety and ensuring a comfortable experience during treatments.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in using Open Dental software and familiarity with medical imaging systems.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate medical records.
