We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, coding systems, and the ability to manage dental records effectively. The Patient Coordinator will play an essential role in maintaining the integrity of patient information while facilitating communication within the practice.
Responsibilities
Patient Scheduling: Manage the appointment calendar for the dental office by scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and in person. Address patient inquiries regarding appointment details, office procedures, and insurance.
Records Management: Maintain accurate patient records in the system, ensuring all information is up to date.
Communication: Relay any scheduling changes to patients promptly and professionally.
Insurance Verification: Assist with insurance verifications and ensure that necessary information is received before appointments.
Patient Follow-ups: Contact patients for appointment reminders, follow-ups, and reactivation of inactive patients.
Team Collaboration: Work with the dental team to optimize patient flow and meet practice goals.
Administrative Support: Handle general administrative duties including data entry, and assisting with patient forms.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eagle soft, Open Dental).
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in dental assisting or office administration is a plus.

Pay: $20.01 - $21.13 per hour
Expected hours: 40 â 45 per week
Schedule:
10 hour shift
