Dental Assistant - South Dental - Orlando, FL

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated General Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and providing high-quality patient care. You will assist our dentists during procedures, help maintain patient comfort, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our dental office.
Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
Take and develop dental X-rays
Record patient medical and dental histories
Prepare and manage patient charts and records
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed
Ensure patient comfort and assist with patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program
Certification in Dental Radiography (where required by state law)
CPR certification preferred
Prior experience as a dental assistant
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and team player with a strong commitment to patient care
