Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and proper instrument handling.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient examinations and treatments.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Utilize dental technologies such as 3D scanners to assist in diagnostics and treatment planning.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to ensure compliance with health standards.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, prosthodontics, four-handed dentistry techniques, and dental clinic systems is highly desirable.
Experience in managing medical documentation and understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential.
A background in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment are required.
