Private dental office near Tysons area is seeking a full-time dental assistant to join our team. We are looking for hardworking, team-oriented individuals who are fluent in English and can work at least for one year to help our practice be efficient and provide high quality patient care.
You will be responsible for the following duties:

Maintain patient records, vital signs, and appointments using Open Dental software
Go into consultations with the dentist to take notes about the patient’s most relevant and important medical/dental problems and relevant history/personal information
Obtain proper Dental Radiation Safety certificate and take panoramic films/CBCT/Periapical X-Rays
Assist dentist in treating patients for procedures which may include specific dental surgeries
Properly sterilize all instruments (once the bag opens, it needs to be re-sterilized even if it was not used in treatment)
Prepare exam rooms for patients by ensuring that all instruments are properly sterilized and organized
Clean each room after each treatment
At the end of each day, check that all devices are properly turned off/charged, and the instruments/rooms are set up for the next day
Report any issues with equipment immediately

Requirements:

Valid Dental Radiation Safety certificate before first day of work
Attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety protocols
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
