The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and prosthodontics.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays)
Provide support to patients by explaining treatment procedures and answering any questions they may have.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record system (Eaglesoft)
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials.
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting is mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with dental terminology and familiarity with dental imaging techniques is mandatory
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to ensure efficient office operations.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
