Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient education, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with our dental professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient screenings, including assessment of oral health conditions, review of health history, and oral cancer screenings.
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing.
- Apply preventive materials to teeth such as sealants and fluorides.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good oral health.
- Take and develop dental x-rays.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Dental Hygienist in California
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Proficient in dental software and digital radiography
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
