Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for various dental procedures.
Take X-rays and imaging as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using Practice Works software, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits to optimize clinic flow.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Support specialized dental procedures in areas such as Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with Practice Works software is an advantage.
Proficient in taking X-rays and understanding radiographic principles.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain safety standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric dentistry settings.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
