We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort during procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure accurate treatment planning.
Take and record vital signs as part of the initial assessment.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and documentation.
Provide education to patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and dietary recommendations.

Conduct periodontal assessments and apply fluoride treatments as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Proficiency in documentation review and familiarity with medical coding practices.
Experience with general dentistry procedures, including knowledge of dental terminology.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus.
Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles is desirable.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental care.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
