Orthodontic Dental Assistant - Arthur M. Kammerman, DDS, PC - Garden City, NY

Overview:
We are seeking a certified dental Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the orthodontist with various procedures. Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures, including orthodontic adjustments, wire changes, placing orthodontic appliances and removing them
- Obtain digital x-rays, dental photographs and introral digital photographic scans
- Prepare treatment stations and sterilize instruments for each patient
- Educate patients regarding proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment care instructions
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
- Previous experience in dental assisting, specifically in orthodontics, is highly desirable
- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
