Dental Insurance Coordinator - Davis & Miller General Dentistry - Columbia, MO

At Davis and Miller General Dentistry, we are looking for a Dental Insurance Coordinator to work with insurance companies to verify patients' benefits, enter insurance payments, check/appeal all insurance claims, and support our admin team.
Responsibilites:

Explaining insurance benefits to patients
Entering data using dental practice management software
Following up on non-paid insurance claims
Processing insurance payments and refunds
Monitoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to confirm payment from insurance companies
Input a complete breakdown of insurance benefits
Process and send electronic claims
Assist team members and patients with insurance inquiries
Assist admin team as needed - answering phones, checking patients in and out, entering payments, creating and presenting treatment plans.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of dental insurance experience
Well-versed in dental terminology and procedures
Working knowledge of insurance company policies

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 3:30pm (office hours 7am - 3pm)
