Dental Hygienist - Sanborn Dental Associates - Grimes, IA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while promoting oral health and hygiene. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and patient assessment, as well as adherence to HIPAA regulations. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable and informative experience during their visits.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures for patients.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans in accordance with clinic protocols.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care in a friendly atmosphere.

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data protection.
Experience in assisting within a dental clinic setting is preferred.
