Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing a variety of hygiene-related tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and dental assistants.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Perform periodontal assessments and document findings accurately in patient records.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting to the dentist.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies, including medical imaging techniques.
Skills
Proficient in infection control procedures and practices within a dental clinic setting.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Familiarity with dental terminology as well as medical terminology relevant to patient care.
Experience in assisting during various dental procedures is preferred.
Competence in aseptic technique to minimize risk during treatments.
Ability to perform medical imaging tasks as needed for patient assessments.
Excellent documentation review skills to ensure compliance with clinic standards.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
