Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient treatments and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the implementation of aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment.
Collaborate with dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Utilize medical imaging systems for diagnostic purposes and assist in reviewing documentation as needed.
Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during treatments.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of patient assessment protocols and documentation review processes.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry practices.
Experience with medical imaging systems is a plus.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Compassionate demeanor towards patients, especially children in pediatric care settings.
